Further to our meeting on October 9, 2019 and further to my last submission on March 9, 2020 in which I provided our Society’s recommended legislation, I am providing a *newly updated* submission for your review.
Our Society has identified numerous issues with this No-Fault legislation specifically in conjunction with the current Family Compensation Act legislative framework.
The BC Wrongful Death Law Society asks: “MLA Ma, what are you going to do to save lives in this province, so your constituents like Natasha Forry, and many others who’ve fallen through the cracks like her won’t need to be needlessly killed?”
2024 Election – David Eby & the BC NDP have failed to keep their promise to modernize BC’s wrongful death laws within their 2020-2024 mandate of government.
John Rustad and the Conservative Party of BC have committed to modernize if elected.
