Jody Toor was elected MLA for Langley-Willowbrook (formerly Langley) in 2024, and currently serves as Caucus Chair.
Born in Langley, Jody is a dedicated community servant and advocate for holistic health care, including running her own integrative holistic clinic in Langley.
In addition to her professional work, Jody is a devoted mother to her two beautiful daughters Nya & Jaya. She is married to Dr Charn Toor, who has his Optometry clinic in Walnut Grove. She successfully balances the demands of family life with her passion for helping others.
Jody Toor holds a double PhD in Doctor of Integrative Medicine and Doctor of Humanitarian Services with the Board Of Integrative Medicine, non-prescribing and is not registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. Jody’s academic achievements, have provided her with a strong foundation in healthcare, mental health, social services, and advocacy. dedicated to using this knowledge and expertise to address the complex challenges facing our community and to promote policies that support the health and well-being of all individuals.
As a breast cancer survivor, Jody has experienced firsthand the physical, emotional, and financial toll that serious illness can take on individuals and their families. This personal journey has deepened her commitment to advocating for comprehensive healthcare policies that prioritize prevention, early detection, and holistic approaches to wellness.
With a strong background in healthcare, and personal health journey, community service, and academic achievement, Jody is ready to bring her unique perspective and dedication to public office.
In her role as a community worker with local food banks, and different charity groups, she has witnessed the impact of health disparities and the importance of access to nutritious food in promoting overall well-being. This experience has reinforced her belief in the interconnectedness of health, social justice, and community support.
Jody believes that her unique combination of personal experience, professional expertise, and community involvement, positions her to be a strong advocate for healthcare reform and social justice.
